Domus Festina Lente is a guest house in the heart of Orvieto. The structure is located inside an ancient palace, once the seat of the Giovanniti order and, subsequently, of the Knights of Malta. Renovated in 2019, the apartment is finely furnished and consists of a living area with modern equipped kitchen, dining table, double sofa bed, TV and a sleeping area with a large and elegant bedroom with king-size bed and antique furniture . The bathroom is fitted out with refined sanitary fittings and fine taps in classic Italian style and equipped with a comfortable shower with a thermostatic mixer. It is possible to access the bathroom either from the bedroom or from the living room. Floor heating is adjustable in every room. WIFI is available throughout the house.
I'm Stefano, owner of Domus Festina Lente. I decided to open this guest house to offer the opportunity to those who come to visit Orvieto to stay in a comfortable and elegant apartment located in the heart of the Historical Center. The position of the apartment allows, in fact, to easily reach on foot all the attractions and monuments of the city. Thanks to this activity I have the opportunity to share and make known the beauties of my territory, Umbria. I am passionate about art, music, nature and food and wine, 4 elements that are not lacking here in Orvieto.
Domus Festina Lente is located in the "Olmo" district of Orvieto, between Piazza del Popolo, home of the palace of the same name, now a conference center, and Corso Cavour, an elegant pedestrian street in the city center, where the main commercial services are located (Mancinelli theater, bars, restaurants, market of typical products, pharmacies, clothing and household stores). The city periodically organizes and hosts events of historical, religious, cultural, sporting, artistic and musical importance. Among the best known, the festival of Palombella and Corpus Domini, Umbria Jazz Winter, Umbria Folk festival, Cronoscalata della Castellana.
