Massimo, the owner of Il Vichiaccio, love for life in the countryside and for genuine things. Borgo del Vichiaccio is the result of a massive restoration work which, for more than 8 years, kept him busy carrying out all the necessary tasks: from the construction works to the fittings, from furniture restoration to the gardening work and from laying the foundations to cutting the woods

Borgo di Vichiaccio is a 18th Century’s farmhouse immersed in the vineyards of Chianti Classico, only 20 minutes away from Florence and 10 minutes away from Greve in Chianti and Impruneta, patiently restored to its ancient splendor and now available for those who seek homely and family-like hospitality. Il Fienile is a beautiful cottage with 2 bedrooms, wide living room and a garden with a private heated hot tub (extra charge) with a stunning view on the wineyards.

Neighbourhood information

Il Vichiaccio is located in Ponte di Gabbiano, a small district of San Casciano in Val di Pesa, very close to the main road connecting Florence to Siena. There are only 25 minutes to arrive by car in the centre of Florence - 45 with the public transport. Due to its convenient position, Vichiaccio represents an excellent base if you wish to visit the area of Chianti Classico, Florence, San Gimignano and Siena. It is also a good starting point for visiting the famous city of Lucca and Pisa and the historic villages of Impruneta, Greve in Chianti and San Casciano Val di Pesa (a 12th Century fortified village, which in the past has been object of dispute between Florence and Siena for long time).
