Il Rifugio dell'Artista is a real retreat - a quiet and comfortable haven just a stone's throw from the very centre of medieval Todi. Stylish, contemporary decor and furnishings in a centuries old building - all upgraded to provide modern and comfortable accommodation with high-tech technology (cable TV, unlimited high-speed internet, Bose speaker). Own entrance from street level with short flight of stone steps to main living accommodation. Two sets of double French doors leading to small balcony - ideal for morning espresso or evening cocktails.
Our Mission Statement is simple – we want to provide guests with high-quality, functional, and comfortable vacation home rentals at an affordable price. Any excess returns we have from our rentals are turned-around and used to upgrade our properties to enhance our guests’ stay. We created ‘Salt House Properties’ as a means to provide ourselves with vacation rentals in places we like to visit. Our model is we would not stay in a hotel for any length of time unless it meets certain quality standards – high standards.
Todi offers more festivals, concerts, music and outdoor events than any other small Italian town. The apartment is just a short walk from the main square with its cathedral, museums and other architectural gems. The town has spectacular views of the Umbrian countryside from its Venetian walls, an underground Roman cisterne system, churches and fountains. Go for a picnic or walk in the park, stopping off at one of the many cafes, bars and restaurants. Visit the galleries and artisanal shops selling Italian clothing and local culinary specialities. The towns of Assisi, Spoleto, Orvieto and Perugia are an easy half-day or full-day trip by car and you can take the daily bus to Rome from Ponte Rio.
