The house offers a unique experience: pure relax in an oasis that takes you from rural living to the luxury of a real villa, and it provides a comfortable foothold to visit the North-west of Italy. La Casa Blu was originally a farmhouse, lying at the top of a hill with a splendid view of the surrounding valley and of the alpine chain that includes the Monviso. The youngest of the heirs in the family Casalone, who owned the place since the 1800's , has recently decided to convert it , restoring it completely making a villa of a farmhouse
Hiya! I am ENA your host! I love this house dearly and I am happy to host people and allow them to discover Monferrato, at their pace. I love baking cakes and muffins, believe it or not it relaxes me... so do come visit!
The position of this house is ideal to tour around Low and High Montferrat , and discover all the treasures that this splendid land can offer. Montferrat ( in Italian, Monferrato) comprises roughly the modern provinces of Alessandria and Asti. Montferrat is one of the most important wine districts of Italy. It also has a strong literary and culinary tradition, so much so that on 22nd June 2014 Montferrat was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The beautiful Alba is only 40 mins away. The centre of Turin is one hour away by car. Turin is rich of glamour and culture (its museums: Egyptian Museum, GAM, MAO, Mauto, Cinema Museum, the Savoy Gallery, Agnelli’s private collection...). In one hour by car one can reach the historical thermal baths of Aqui Terme, with its thermal treatments in sulphureous waters. In one hour and thirty minutes drive, one can reach the Ligurian Coast and Genova, or the lively centre of Milan. Barolo, Roero, Barbaresco, all sites nearby that are home for the best vineyards the world over. Portacomaro, hometown of Pope Francis’s family, is 5 km from the house
