This vacation rental features stunning cathedral ceilings. The apartment is located in the middle of the village of Parabita, Parabita is a small, charming town located in the Puglia region of southeastern Italy, more precisely in the province of Lecce, in the heart of Salento, the southernmost part of Puglia. 📍 Parabita is located about 35 km southwest of Lecce (the provincial capital) 🏖️ distance to the sea 8 to 10 km to the Ionian Sea – the nearest beaches are at Gallipoli, a popular seaside resort. Even the Adriatic Sea is also easily accessible (approx. 30 km). The nearest beach is in Rivabella or Baia Verde (near Gallipoli) – both very beautiful, fine sandy beaches with crystal clear waters. 🌿 The region around Parabita is rich in nature, history and culinary traditions. Parabita has a beautiful historic old town with narrow streets, baroque churches and palazzi. Worth mentioning here is the Castello di Parabita – a historic castle in the middle of the village or the Chiesa di San Giovanni Battista – a beautiful church with baroque elements. Parabita is located in the heart of Salento, a well-known wine region. Grape varieties such as Negroamaro and Primitivo are typical of this area. The landscape is characterized by olive groves and dry stone walls (Muretti a secco). As mentioned, the coastal town of Gallipoli is just a few kilometres away and is a real tourist magnet in the summer – known for its beaches, party scene and a picturesque historic centre on a small island. Parabita and the surrounding area offer countless restaurants with typical Apulian cuisine such as orecchiette, taralli, fresh fish, but also hearty meat dishes in the interior. Many agriturismi and wineries around Parabita invite you to taste and linger.
