The house is a former 12th century "Pieve" (it was an ecclesiastical structure with a country church with a baptistery) which has undergone a careful restoration that lasted several years. The pool is treated continuously to ensure the highest water quality and offers a beautiful 180 ° panorama over the surrounding hills. There is also a large private park of about 80 hectares where you can go for walks, jogging or simply organize a picnic, surrounded by the most unspoiled nature and peace of mind. All our guests leave with a fond memory of the antiquity, serenity, beauty and simple and authentic style of the Pieve.

I live in Florence but stay in country houses whenever possible. I love the Tuscan and simple lifestyle; the land, food, wine, animals and its nature. Even though the houses are only an hour and a quarter from Florence, every time I arrive I feel transported in an hour and in a different place. I am a robotic engineer graduated from the University of Siena, in my professional life I deal with travel, electronics and renewable energy; my great passion is photography and ... like every Tuscan, food :-). My family has been involved in tourism since 2000. It all started with family possessions and abandoned houses for over forty years. My family put enthusiasm and passion into the restoration process which lasted several years. We look forward to assisting you in any way. We recommend having a car. The house is 10 minutes drive from the famous Abbey of San Galgano and 35 minutes drive from Siena, Volterra, Monteriggioni, San Gimignano and Chianti and 1 hour drive from Florence, Punta Ala or Grosseto. La Pieve is immersed in a Natural Reserve. The house is located in Montalcinello which is in the municipality of Chiusdino (9 km from the house). We love being part of the local village of Montalcinello - the people are kind and genuine. The village is like an extended family where everyone knows and helps each other. The restaurants in Montalcinello, Chiusdino and Radicondoli are famous and people from all over Tuscany come here to dine out (so we recommend booking in advance). The well-known five-star resort of Castello di Casole (voted No. 1 Resort in Europe by Travel and Leisure and Conde Nast Traveler) and the beautiful 5-star Borgo Santo Pietro estate with the Michelin Meo Modo guide are just a 15-minute drive from the home.
