Pratomagno Apartment is set in the medioeval hamlet of Castagneto-Cetica (Castel San Niccolò - near Arezzo) on the slopes of Pratomagno mountain among chestnut trees and the characteristic peaceful silence of the Casentino valley. It is the right place for remote working and online-teaching thanks to the Wi-Fi (covered by a fiber high-speed internet connection) and at the same time for relaxing as anyone wants. For a complete 'digital detox', you can easily practise outdoor activities: as trekking, trail running, jogging, slow-walking, mountain-bike and e-biking thanks to the several paths, street and excursion roads that go upwards Pratomagno. The well-lit flat, with a view on the appennines, is on the first floor of a detached house and it includes a double-bed room with a smart-working area, a two-single beds room, a bathroom with shower; a small furnished kitchen; a living room/dining room. It is the ideal place for creatives to join work and relax. The entrance is through a roofed terrace also in the back of the house in the shared garden it is possible to spend some relaxing time reading, writing or drawing sitting on stone or wooden benches or even having a picnic!
Our family live downstairs. We are present and available for every need respecting each other privacy. REMOTE WORKING: equipped working area with desk, chair, CD/DVD player, loudspeakers, some stationery and WIFI-Fiber connection. BIKE FRIENDLY: free closed and safe bicycles shelter minimum bike maintenance equipment NATURE WALKING: at least 4-night staying includes a 2-hour walking tour discovering natuire, history and art along the village streets up to The Cross of Pratomagno (1592 mt) passing through "Cetica Baths" 5 km far. STAY GREEN: Respect of the environment using wood, pellet and solar panels for the central heating and hot water production; use of spring water. WASTE FREE: use of glasses, plates, cutlery reusable; recycling. KM ZERO: picking up season vegetables at nearby farm. EXTRA CLEANING: Advanced cleaning process of 5 stages based on cleaning measures using products and sanitizers approved by global health agencies. We wear protective dress to prevent risks of contamination. Respect of local laws for security and sanification: detailed check-lists for single room deep cleaning. Host will have extra cleaning products to use during their staying.
Castagneto is part of Cetica village, where there is the Roman church of Saint Micheal Arcangel, the Carbon Workers' Museum, a food store, a bakery, two bars and a pizzeria restaurant. The flat is set on the slopes of Pratomagno (600 mt) giving the possibility of practising on the Panoramic road of Pratomagno, for about 12 km, cross-country skiing and ski touring or reaching the Cross on the top of massif (1592 m) on snowshoes in winter! In the other seasons you can go trekking or mountain-biking along the CAI trails that pass through pastureland and chestnut and beech woods where you can pick up "porcini" mashrooms and chestnuts. Horse-riding thank to the mule tracks, bird-watching (with 50 different species) and  trout-fishing in the Solano creek  that springs up at Poggio delle Portacce 1523 m and flows in the Arno river; you can simply relax in the fresh air of the thermal area of Bagni di Cetica (5 km ) at 1150 mt. From up there you can reach Secchieta mountain, Passo della Consuma, Valdarno, Poppi and Talla. You can also visit the castles of Strada in Casentino, Poppi and Romena, the numerous Roman churches and the National Park of Casentino Forests UNESCO heritage.
