The Badia a Passignano stands on an isolated site reachable by a branch of the road called in the Middle Ages the "Sienese road of Sambuco", a preferential route to Siena used by the Florentines at least until 1200. Passignano was one of the most powerful castles in the Val di Pesa and its existence is historically documented starting from the 11th-12th century, although the hill where it stands was certainly already the seat of a 'wary' in the Lombard era. Unlike all the other fortified settlements in the area, Passignano had a completely different history, so much so that today we find it practically intact... The apartment is located above the L'Antica Scuderia restaurant, where you will be treated as a special guests.
