We make bubbles for a living, we are passionate about our land and the way we work it, we are constantly working on several initiatives to reduce our environmental impact. A bottle of our fine organic Franciacorta will be offered to you upon arrival for you to taste. We collaborate with local chefs, who personally prepare your breakfast each morning to propose you a widespread choice of daily baked croissants, local products for you to taste, organic fruit and vegs, fresh eggs and yogurts from local farms, all Km 0. We split between the villa and the winery which is just across the park, and where you are free to come for a tour of the cellars.

Property information

In the heart of the wine region of Franciacorta, a few minutes away from Lake Iseo, Villa Biondelli is a splendid 18th century estate in Bornato, recently renovated to the highest standards, still surrounded by its pristine hectares of park and vineyards, all enclosed by its original stone walls. We offers a timeless atmosphere ideal for rest and relaxation. In the 1940s the villa became home to an Italo-American film production, who was designing the second animated movie of the history of cinema. Dubbed into English and retitled The Singing Princess, it narrates the story of the Genie of the Lamp. This was some 40 years before the production of Aladdin animated comedy by Walt Disney Pictures, both drawn by the collection of tales of One Thousand and One Nights. We used some of the authentic watercolours and drawings as core inspiration for the entire place refurbishment, and left two of the original shutters painted in the 1940s hanging in memory of the production and of all the fallen from WWII.

Neighbourhood information

Bornato is an ancient rural town nested at the heart of Franciacorta. Its territory originates from a hill which gently gives way to a beautiful valley that separates Bornato from the bordering towns of Cazzago San Martino and Calino. Today Bornato is one of the most fascinating areas in Franciacorta, and only 15 minutes away from Lake Iseo. The town was capable to maintain through centuries its charming looks of an ancient rural town. The evocative town centre, embellished by the medieval castle (today's villa Orlando) and by a number of patrician palaces and villas, is framed by a rural landscape of vineyards and secular woods. The territory of Franciacorta as it is today is the result of an ancient and glorious past as well as of the enterprising and laborious nature of its people who have contributed to the modern development of the region with their work and tenacity. The extraordinary wines produced in Franciacorta carry with them this ancient history as well as the beauty and the soul of this land, thus becoming ambassadors for the name Franciacorta in the world.
