CASA MIYAMA Two photographers recreated a 115-year-old thatched old folk house in a small village in Miyama, Kyoto. It is an official inn with a business license in accordance with the inn business law. The roof is covered with tiles, but if you go up to the attic you can still see the fine thatched roof. Without changing the prototype of the old folk house, the interior was refurbished to fit the modern lifestyle with air conditioner, wood burning stove, and open-air Japanese pottery bathtub and indoor wooden bathtub with Japanese garden view. KOYA MIYAMA KOYA MIYAMA, annex of Casa Miyama, is a luxurious and comfortable chalet in rural Kyoto for two persons with or without infants. You can enjoy BBQ and bonfire in the garden. On rainy days, you can still enjoy BBQ in the pouch. We also have a private mountain water mini pool, indoor hot bathtub with a garden view, and firewood stove. Swinging in a hammock, you can see our goats gazing in the pasture. Enjoy a panoramic Japanese mountain village view, and have a relaxing and peaceful vacation in the real rural Japan.
We are both professional photographers. We offer portrait session as well at our studio next to Casa Miyama.
We are about 15 minutes drive from the famous thatched roof village of Miyama, Kayabuki-no-sato.
