PLEASE NOTE: The Izu peninsula is a designated park. It is very green and very wild. Nature abounds! surrounded by trees. Wild boars, crabs, lizards, butterflies, fireflies, cicadas, crickets, pheasants, king-fisher, nightingales, all live among us. Monkeys have also been spotted on the roof. Spiders and other small creatures do get into the building at times. Insect repellents are made available for anyone to use. The peninsula is born of many volcanoes and is very hilly!
