【Jomo Stay Takasaki 2 -the Garden-】 Located in Yachiyo-cho, Takasaki City, Gunma Prefecture, this spacious two-story house offers over 140㎡ of living space with 5LDK layout, accommodating up to 13 guests. Originally built in 1979, the home was designed with a distinctive architectural flair—wooden ceilings, an airy open corridor, and skylights that fill the space with natural light. Despite being nearly half a century old, it retains a timeless charm, now enhanced with modern interior design to provide a relaxing stay for families and groups alike. On the first floor, guests will find a bright living room facing the garden and a Japanese-style tatami room stocked with toys and picture books for children. The second floor features three bedrooms, making it ideal for multiple families or group travel. There is also a dedicated room that can serve as a workspace, perfect for remote work or longer stays. Conveniently located just about 7 minutes by car from central Takasaki Station, the property offers easy access to sightseeing spots and event venues, making it the perfect base for special stays with friends and family.

I usually work as a company employee, and I live with my wife and our son. In 2025, I started hosting with the hope of sharing the charm of my hometown, Gunma, with both domestic and international guests. Long ago, Gunma was called Jōmō, and from childhood, people here have been familiar with “Jōmō Karuta” and the “Three Jōmō Mountains,” which are deeply rooted in our everyday lives. Recently, I also learned about the English expression JOMO: Joy of Missing Out—the idea of embracing the present moment and regaining a richer way of life. Inspired by both of these, I named our accommodation JOMO STAY, with the wish that guests could spend their time here as if they were living in Gunma, enjoying a slower and more fulfilling pace of life. As a hobby, I love exploring interior design, so I’ve put a lot of thought into the concept of each room and added playful touches throughout the house.
