It has a hot public bath and serves traditional dinners in the privacy of guests’ rooms.* Guests at Hotel Takao Kanko sleep in Japanese futon bedding on a tatami (woven-straw) floor, with a traditional low table and floor cushions as furnishings. Each room is air-conditioned and has a TV, a fridge and an electric kettle with green tea. The hotel is a 20-minute drive from Arashiyama Takao Parkway, while Togetsu Bridge and Daikaku Temple are both a 30-minute drive away. It is a 50-minute bus ride from Kyoto Train Station. Parking is free. Hiking and fishing can be enjoyed in the area. Free Wi-Fi is provided at the lobby, and the front desk is staffed 24/7. A Japanese breakfast is served at the dining area. Dinner consists of either a multi-course meal with local delicacies or hot-pot cuisine. *From June-September, dinner is served in a "Kawadoko" open-air dining area.

Take a JR bus from Karasuma Chuo Exit of JR Kyoto Station, and get off at Yamashiro Takao Bus Stop. Please call the hotel before getting on the bus, and the hotel staff will wait at the bus stop to escort you to the property.
Dinner is served in a "Kawadoko" open-air dining area from June to September.
Please note, dining options are not available within a walking distance from the property. Guests must place their menu orders by 18:30 to eat dinner on site.
