Nostalgic and new, A 150-year-old old house (170 m2) of a wealthy farmer from the Edo period has been restored . Nishihikasa, a small village nestled at the forest, is filled with traditions and wisdom of life that modern Japan has left behind.Located just over an hour drive from the center of Tokyo, the village welcomes only one group a day.We hope you will experience the comfort of being with a large family in a small traditional Japanese village. *Please refrain from using this house if you do not like insects, or if you do not like the crevices and soot unique to old private homes. *Once a year, after the rains at the end of April or beginning of May, there is a big outbreak of insects (in the hundreds) and a big migration of insects. If you are staying on that day, we will refund your lodging fee. This will be lucky day. *In winter (15 Nov - 15 Mar), will be charged for heating (for 4 kerosene stoves). *During New Year's holidays from 28 Dec to 3 Jan, and during the Bon period from 13 to 16 Aug (including Saturdays and Sundays before and after), priority will be given to guests staying two or more nights (consecutive nights) (single-night guests will basically be declined). *Although the location ensures privacy, please refrain from making a fuss after 10:00 p.m. at night. *It takes about 10 minutes by car to the nearest convenience store.
I am a writer, I have been a lot of places all over the world with my job, Africa , Asia , Islamic countries, Europe, Latin america…etc. Finally I realized that I want to build my own paradise at my grown-uped area with my artists friends after I traveled more than 100 countries. This is the answer at the present , so now I am very happy I do my best to introduce our culture, our home town, our lovely people. I want to say thanks for the thousands of people whom I met on my trip. Now I want to return back my hospitality to the tourist who visit Japan. The villa here is the paradise, Small but rich-hearted.
