The first-floor, two-bedroom apartment in Sai Shanti House has its own entrance. It has a fully equipped kitchen. There is solar hot water and solar power for lighting, fans and kitchen equipment. Filtered drinking water is provided. King-size beds are provided with mosquito nets. There is a small balcony on which to enjoy the breeze. A large dining table provides sitting for 8 people and there is a comfortable lounge area. There is a view of the dunes from the dining room/sitting room windows.
I am a retired Chartered Accountant, having worked in the UK and then in Nairobi, before operating a hotel in Shela Village, Lamu. I am a watercolour artist, writer and poet.
Sai Shanti House is situated in a quiet neighbourhood of Shela Village, about 8 minutes' walk to the 12-kilometer beach and Peponi Hotel.
