Company information

My Stone Cellar is a family-run heritage guesthouse accredited by the Ministry of Tourism and open year-round. Housed within the Ishac Estate, built in 1903, it has been preserved by the same family for five generations, making it one of the rare documented historic homes in North Lebanon still welcoming travelers today. As natives of Douma, we are proud to share not only our home but also our village, recently named one of the Best Tourism Villages by the UNWTO. We enjoy hosting guests from around the world and offering personal guidance on local attractions, cultural landmarks, and hidden gems. Our goal is to make every stay both comfortable and meaningful, combining warm hospitality with the rich history of our estate and village.

Property information

My Stone Cellar, Douma is a heritage guesthouse set within the restored vaulted cellars of the historic Ishac Estate (1903). The estate was founded by İbrâhîm Beik Ishac, a respected community leader decorated in 1891–1892 with the Order of the Medjidie by Sultan Abdülhamid II. Preserved by the Ishac family for over five generations, this landmark house with its Mediterranean architecture continues to embody authenticity and history. Steeped in heritage, the 115-year-old vaulted cellars have been transformed into four elegant guest rooms, each self-contained with a private entrance, en suite bathroom, and sitting area. The Studio King includes a sofa bed and kitchenette, while all rooms feature handcrafted wooden furniture, wrought-iron details, and a tasteful blend of retro and contemporary design. The property’s layout and traditional thick stone walls ensure that every room remains quiet and naturally cool year-round, offering guests comfort alongside character. Situated in the heart of Douma, named one of the Best Tourism Villages by the UNWTO. My Stone Cellar combines the intimacy of a family home with the prestige of a heritage landmark. Guests are invited to sleep beneath the arches of a house once honored by the Sultan and experience the unique atmosphere where history and hospitality meet.

Neighbourhood information

At the heart of the peaceful mountain village of Douma, recently recognized as one of the Best Tourism Villages in the world by the UNWTO, lies My Stone Cellar, surrounded by history, culture, and natural beauty. From the guesthouse, guests can easily walk to the old souk, the Douma Museum, traditional restaurants, and coffee houses, where the authentic charm of the village comes to life. The property is also ideally located for exploring the Douma–Baatara Gorge hiking trail, one of Lebanon’s most spectacular natural landmarks. The area offers a wide variety of activities throughout the year, including village tours, cycling, hiking, rock climbing, wine tasting, skiing, and snowshoeing. Whether you are seeking cultural discoveries, outdoor adventures, or quiet moments in nature, Douma has something memorable to offer every visitor.
