Traditional country house, set out in 2,5 hectars, including Orchard, large pond and roaming countryside. There are two properties available. Property 1. Self contained 1 bedroom apartment sleeps 3. This accommodation has private access. There is a a fully equipped kitchen with tea/coffee making facilities, separate living space with single bed, double bedroom has a double/twin bed with en-suite and it has its own private balcony. Property 2. Self contained studio apartment sleeps 2. This accommodation has private access. There is a fully equipped kitchenette with tea/coffee making facilities, living/dining space, double/twin bed with en-suite bathroom and shower attachment to the bath with a private terrace. Property is Approx 45min drive from Riga airport.
Language's - English Danish and German I have started planting herbs this year. Main crop this year is organic lemon balm. Which will be harvested for tea in the autumn. There is an abundance of wildflowers, seasonal plants etc. We also have an orchard with mainly apples, which I intend to use to make apple juice. I have interests in all the above and hope to expand crops next year.
Very peaceful. We are the last house on country road. So no cars, just Mr stork, ducks, and a few deer passing. through all drinking from the pond. I just started planting herbs. Main crop this year is organic lemon balm. Which will be harvest for tea. Mazlauki is the nearest village to Nilseni and has a small general provision store. Jelgava is the nearest large town which has a farmers market, a shopping centre and banking facilities. It also boasts Jelgava Palace, several churches plus various sporting facilities eg ice hockey, tennis, bowling. Plus much more..... Of international interest is Rundale Palace 20 mins drive away. Designed by Rastrelli who also built the Winter Palace in St Petersburg, it was recently the filming location for BBC's Three Musketeers.
