St. Agatha's Bastion more well known as The Blue Mdina Door is unique; stunning on the inside and out with the only private pool on the bastions in Mdina. Parts of the house date back to the 10th century. The vast patio with a pool and views across Malta and the Mediterranean will make you want to stay at home. Being at the centre of the Island means that all of Malta and its coastline is close at hand.
This ex City of London lawyer now working as a management consultant and independent director will share his home with you while he is travelling in the south of France and London. Passionate about scuba diving, wine, and WWII history. You can also experience a taste of luxury, history and wine at his home, Chateau Rieutort, in the South of France which is also available on booking.
Mdina is the former capital of Malta and is known on the Island as the Silent City (only Mdina residents can bring their cars into the City). It gets amazingly quiet at night while in the day tourists flock to the city to admire its many historic attractions, architecture and restaurants. In the morning you will be woken by sparrows nestling amongst bougainvillea branches growing on the facade of the house. Only 5kms away from Mdina you may stroll on the Dingli Cliffs which is also heavenly peaceful, bracing and scenic.
