We rent private rooms, but at the same time we also operate as a homestay, which is an opportunity for those who want, to engage with a Nicaraguan family and to talk and learn a little more about the culture, history, and general situation of El Gigante and Nicaragua. We also offer Taxi services, surfboard rentals, Wi-Fi, and hammocks. Aditionally we can provide a delicious traditional breakfast and coffee for an affordable price.
I'm a Spanish teacher with a small family. My 7-year-old daughter and my husband are all experienced in dealing with tourists and very friendly. I'm a very sociable person. I love working with foreigners and I'm good at communicating.
Playa Gigante is a small fishing village on the Pacific coast of Nicaragua. It is known among tourists primarily for its beautiful beaches and a Spanish school. Here you can surf and learn spanish in a relaxing atmosphere. The hostel is a four-minute walk from the main surfing beach, Amarillo, making it the closest accommodation in El Gigante to this beach. The other beach, Playa Gigante, is a three-minute walk away, and the town center is a five-minute walk away. There is a small shop 50 meters up the street, as well as a restaurant and a comedor. The Spanish school is in 3 min walk distance.
