Close to the dunes and the (green) beach of Ameland, and next to the woods in Ballum, are located 4 stunning fully equipped holiday bungalows. And, 200 meters to (free) heated outside pool and play and recreational facilities. The 4 bungalows have recently been renovated. Best feature is the location, location, location. Walking distance to the green beach, a gift of nature. And, with recreational facilities at the holiday park, it doesn't feel like a typical park. All the houses are unique, and privately owned. Ballum is the smallest village at the island. Close by is the beach, woods, dunes. Best kept secret is the green beach. Everything is close by. We recommend the Sunset in Hollum for evening drinks to watch the sun go down, a walk at the green beach in Ballum, a tractor trip to 't Oerd, and the nature museum. If you can, do buy a guided tour. There are many and go and get the "activiteiten kalender" from the VVV. Tourist Information office is very well organised and provides good overview of the activities. Compared to other Frisian Islands we do believe that at Ameland there are the most activities to perform. We especially recommend Ameland Adventure, a small bike ride from the bungalows for your daily windsurf, blowkarting and many other activities!
