Appartment De Koesfabriek is an appartment in a quiet street in the historical centre of Dokkum. Parking free at 150 meters. The appartment and suitable for 2 to 4 persons. The centre of Dokkum with restaurants, shops, supermarket and free parking (150m) is very nearby. The Unesco world heritage of the Wadden Sea surrounds Dokkum. The buidling is 400 years old and has had many functions. If breakfast is booked it is served in the appartment. The appartment has a private entrance.
We love to help our guests to explore Dokkum and Fryslan. During the day we have our jobs. We have 2 daughters and 2 cats. I have renovatged our home and the appartment completely. That's my passion. It has been for over 400 years a church, a factory, a school, a newspaper printing office ("" The Dokkumer Newspaper", still existing) en a watchmaking office. We made it our home en now also began a holiday home in the same building. My wife her great passion is to furnish the home in her own unique way. You can call it rural and romantic. We use old materials combined with the comfort of nowaday. Several magazines have published our home for the inspiration of others. Her instagramaccount is "marian_2207". If you like it, follow her. She loves your interaction :-)
Everything is nearby. The appartment is located at the canal that surrounds the centre of Dokkum. Dokkum has a historical centre with very old buildings. The city is still surrounded by the old defending walls ('de Bolwerken') and two windmills. It is possible to make a cruise in the canals with historical information. Very nice!
