On the ground floor, de Druif has a spacious living room with an open kitchen and direct access to the grape-covered terrace. On the same floor there’s a bathroom, a separate toilet and a bedroom with a twin bed. Upstairs, there are two more bedrooms, one of them with a small balcony. Holiday home ‘de Druif’ has three bedrooms, 6 sleeps. (Outdoor area:) You can sit on the terrace in the shade of the grapevine and it’s allowed to grill in the garden but there’s no bbq-set available. Parking is possible in front of the house. (Surroundings:) Oostmahorn is an old stronghold at the at the western side of the Lauwerslake with a rich history, dating back to the sixteenth century. Nowadays it’s a very pleasant tourist destination at the National Park Lauwersmeer, hosting several holiday resorts. The lake itself and the direct surroundings are a true paradise for nature lovers, fisherman, water sports enthusiasts, cyclists and hikers. Dogs are more than welcome here as well. There’s a special beach and a forest for them at Lauwersoog. Within a couple of hundreds of meters there are several playgrounds for children. At the beach, in the small resort ‘de Skâns’ and in Esonstad - which is a holiday resort build as a replica of a typical old Frysian city. In Esonstad you’ll even find a bouncy castle and an indoor playing hall and one can play golf and foot golf here at the local Pitch & Putt area. Renting a bicycle or e-chopper is also possible here. In Esonstad you can easily do your daily groceries (a bigger supermarkt is just a couple of kilometers away in Anjum) or find a restaurant, pizzeria or a snackbar.
