Cozy holidayhome “De Geuzenhoeve” is a luxurious accommodation with lots of facilities. It has beautiful view and is literally next to the Markermeer for lovely walks or bikerides through the West Frisian landscape. A perfect base for exploring historic Hoorn, for (kite)surfing on the lake or for simply enjoying a good book in your “own” backyard or on the southwest-facing veranda
Mede door mijn werk bij KLM Royal Dutch Airlines kom ik vaak op bijzondere plekken in de wereld. Ik kom graag bij mensen thuis om te zien hoe het dagelijks leven eraan toe gaat en hoe ze wonen. Hoe mooi ik alle landen en tropische oorden ook vind, er is maar 1 echte favoriete bestemming voor mij en dat is Schellinkhout en dat wil ik graag met mijn gasten delen! Ik ken de lekkerste restaurantjes, weet in welke kroeg ze het beste bier schenken en ik weet waar je moet zijn om heerlijk te shoppen. Als ik moet vliegen dan ontvangt mijn man de gasten. Hij is iets minder bekend in deze omgeving dan ik maar hij kent Amsterdam weer veel beter.
In de binnenstad van Hoorn vindt u de historische haven met gebouwen uit de VOC tijd en tal van gezellige terrassen. Er is een grote markt op zaterdag en u kunt stadswandelingen maken door de stad onder begeleiding van een gids. Hoorn beschikt over gezellige winkelstraten, heeft een schouwburg, bioscoop, ijsbaan, zwembaden, manege en goede restaurants en kroegen. We helpen u graag op weg!
