The living room of ‘horizon’ and the integrated kitchen offer a beautiful sight over the surrounding pastures and has a direct access to the terras and the garden. With its three bedrooms ‘horizon’ is equipped for up to 5 persons. Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms, one with a small balcony. The third bedroom is at the ground level as well as the bathroom and toilet. (Outdoor area:) The lovely and quiet garden ends at a small canal. One can barbecue in the garden. On the property, there is a private parking, which offers enough space for two cars. (Distinctive features:) ‘horizon’ offers internet and satellite TV and baby cot and high chair are available on request. Pets are welcome if registered in advance. We do charge 5 euro a day for each pet. Smoking is not allowed in ‘horizon’. (Surroundings:) Oostmahorn is an old stronghold at the at the western side of the Lauwerslake with a rich history, dating back to the sixteenth century. Nowadays it’s a very pleasant tourist destination at the National Park Lauwersmeer, hosting several holiday resorts. The lake itself and the direct surroundings are a true paradise for nature lovers, fisherman, water sports enthusiasts, cyclists and hikers. Dogs are more than welcome here as well. There’s a special beach and a forest for them at Lauwersoog. Within a couple of hundreds of meters there are several playgrounds for children. At the beach, in the small resort ‘de Skâns’ and in Esonstad - which is a holiday resort build as a replica of a typical old Frysian city. In Esonstad you’ll even find a bouncy castle and an indoor playing hall and one can play golf and foot golf here at the local Pitch & Putt area. Renting a bicycle or e-chopper is also possible here.
