Located in Østby, this hotel is a 20-minute drive from the ski slopes of Trysilfjellet. The Swedish border is 19 km away, and airport Scandinavian Mountains is also a 20 minutes’ drive. Fulufjellet, Sälenfjället and Stöten ski resorts are within 20-25 minutes’ drive. All hotel rooms have been upgraded with a new TV system with new flat-screen TVs featuring 14 channels (Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, German, English and Dutch). The modern rooms all have private bathroom facilities. Guests can dry their clothes, and store and wax their skis in Kjølen Hotel Trysil's drying and waxing room. Free WiFi and free on-site parking are available. Kjølen’s restaurant offers à la carte dishes and a variety of drinks can be enjoyed in the full-licensed bar. In summer, guests can eat on the large terrace. Many kilometers of cross-country ski tracks are found right by the hotel. Snowmobile safaris and dog sledding can be enjoyed in the winter. Downhill skiing is possible at Trysilfjellet, Stöten or Sälenfjället. Hiking, bicycling, fishing and swimming are popular summer activities in the area. Golf and climbing can also be enjoyed. The hotel is quietly situated in the country side. Bicycle park Trysil and the golf course are located at 20 minutes' drive.
