Welcome to Eidekollen Aurora – your perfect base for exploring Tromsø! Located just a few kilometers from Tromsø Airport, our cozy and modern apartment offers all the amenities you could wish for — and a touch of Arctic magic right outside your door. With stunning views of the northern lights from the window and easy access to scenic Kvaløya, this is the ideal location for nature lovers and adventurers. In winter, enjoy ski-in/ski-out access to a groomed cross-country trail starting just behind the house. The northern lights can often be experienced just a few hundred meters away — or from your own living room. You’ll also find one of Tromsø’s best delicatessens and a well-stocked supermarket within walking distance. Public transportation is convenient: buses depart frequently from Eidkjosen (approx. 1 km away), and the walk takes about 14 minutes. The area is rich in wildlife — right outside the apartment you may spot or hear birds, arctic hare (røyskatt), foxes, moose, reindeer, and ptarmigan. Nature is always close by! We love hosting families and warmly welcome children of all ages. If there’s anything we can do to make your stay easier with kids, just let us know — we’re happy to help! We live in the same building as the apartment, and as a family with young children, there may occasionally be normal household sounds during the day. As your hosts, we will do everything we can to make your stay perfect. We are happy to help with anything — just ask, no matter what it is! This is the place for you who love exploring the magical Arctic landscape on your own — perfect for the adventurous spirit. If you’re more into city life and café culture in the town center, this might not be the right fit for you.
We are a family of four living in the same house. Our interests mainly involve being outdoors in nature.
This is a quiet and peaceful neighborhood, mainly consisting of families with young children. Nature is practically right outside the house, with ski trails, forests, and mountains for all the activities you can dream of. The area is sparsely populated, so you will mostly have it to yourself.
