Welcome to Rorbua at Toppøya! This is a very unique Rorbu, almost original from the times it was used by fishermen during winterseason. Thus there are no bedrooms, the beds are in the ceiling over the living rooms! There are 4 ladders available to climb up, see pictures. Very popular for families. The standard is relatively simple but cosy, furnished with a personal touch. A small bathroom, and a new kitchen give the necessary quality to enjoy the stay. The view is maginficent over the sea- lots of various seabirds to watch!
Me and my sister Torill owns the place together, and we have had so many memorable holidays and weekends here over the last 35 years. We will not be present to welcome you in person when you arrive, but we have a local representative, Ana close by at Hamnøy, who will assist in case you need help with anything. We sincdereyl hope you will enjoy the cabin, the view and the surrpundings as much as we do! Welcome to Toppøya from Torill and Trine
You have nearby several restaurants at Sakrisøy and Hamnøy, there are many great hiking possibilites in the mountains, ie the famous Reinebringen, see also Studalen in Sørvågen. Kayakking service in Sakrisøy 200 meters away. If you like fishing you can go out with fishing boats for a fee, also exploring the nearby fiords. Big ribs can take you to the outside of the Lofoten Island, exploring the famous Refsvik cave. The changing lights are perfect for painting enthusiasts.
