Singerheimen was built in 1921 and was the summer residence of the american painter and millionaire; William H. Singer Jr, and his wife Anna. With us you have the unique possibility to experience a night (or more) in a museum. The property is owned by a foundation, and has been turned in to a Bed&Breakfast with 9 rooms. Singerheimen is a time capsule taking you 100 years back in time! And you have the possibility to live like the nobility did, on a hilltop in beatiful Olden. All overnight guests are offered a free tour of the museum, were you can learn the captivating story of the Singers. The surroundings are excellent, with views to the fjord, the river and the majestic mountains. Visit us, for a peaceful and memorable experience!
Singheimen is a family-run guest house. We are a family of 6; Mons, Turi, Johanne, Harald, Sverre & Kristin. We started the business in 2023, and had a really good experience. Therefore, we want to continue welcoming guests from all over the world, and to try and make your trip to Olden as pleasant and memorable as possible.
Travellers with cars can use the free parking lot without reservation. Stryn Summer Ski Center is a 45-minute drive away. The Briksdalsbreen glacier and Jostedalsbreen National Park is around 19km away, and the whole area is ideal for hiking. The village Loen and the Skylift cable car are 7km away from the guesthouse.
