Company information

We are a couple who is running a small dairy farm and providing accommodation to you, as a guest, in our cosy cabins. We will make sure your stay is going to become a memorable experience. If wanted, we can provide you a snowmobile safari or dog sledding tour, or prepare you a breakfast and dinner.

Property information

Solheim Fritidsgård is a traditional north norwegian small private farm with sheeps and dairy cows. We also have our cat Bror and dog Molly who loves to play with tourists, gladly accompanies them on the trips and is kind to children. At our farm you can enjoy cosy accommodation in fjord with spectacular view at majestic mountains and clean blue sea. We are situated at place close to Lyngen Alps known for many sports activity opportunities all year long. From September to March we regularly have Aurora Borealis dancing right above our farm, so you do not need to travel long distances from here to chase it.

Neighbourhood information

Svensby is a village which has been inhabited since 16. century. It lies in the middle of Lyngen municipality. The village has about 200 inhabitans. The main purpose of settlement was good environment for fishing and agriculture. The men were mostly fishermen and their wives were taking care about children and cattle. Nowadays is village keeping its tradition of fishing and agriculture and offering memorable opportunities for many outdoor activities, both in summer and winter time. It is circa 20 km to the small town Lyngseidet with most of services and shops, petrol station and ATM. Circa 50 km away from Svensby is the main city of this northern area with airport, Tromsø.
