This quiet countryside cottage is perfect retreat for you next weekend getaway. Relax in the tranquil garden surroundings or explore Matakana Coasts many activities. * Tranquil garden surroundings. * Great location for scenic walks, kayaking and fishing. * Families welcome * 6 minutes drive from Warkworth Town & 18 minutes drive to Matakana Village * Walk to tidal river and 12 mins drive to nearest Beach Matakana Coast Wine Country region stretches from Puhoi to Pakiri and our cottage's location is prime spot to access the array of activities. The room layout is one bedroom cottage. 1 queen bed in bedroom. 1 single bed in partial bedroom and pull out couch in lounge. We look forward to having you stay. We provide an extensive compendium of information about things to enjoy in the area. And available by phone anytime you need more :-)
Geoff and Liz are pleased to welcome you to their country side accommodation. Originally hosts at their Boutique Motel "Warkworth Lodge" for over 17 years, they feel well equip to create a stylish and comfortable cottage to ensure you have an enjoyable stay. "We like to encourage our guests to get out and about to discover all that Matakana Coast Wine Country offers". This is a naturally scenic region with many activities from wineries and cozy local pubs to fishing & surfing. Something for everyone. We had the cottage leased out a few Years ago and just got it up and going again in time for this summer. Book in and make it yours and relax just how every you want to.
We are conveniently 6 minutes drive to Warkworth town, yet completely surrounded in country side and a short walk to the river and boat ramp, good for small boat launch 2 hours each side of the tide. This tidal ramp accesses the Mahurangi Harbour. Warkworth is located in the center of the Matakana Coast Wine Country. With 30 Beaches and all the activities from SUP to Surfing that goes with such a stunning coastal region. Follow the days activity by relaxing at one of the cozy pubs, fabulous restaurants or choose one of several wineries to dine at. Our hosts also run the local wine tour, and happy to share ideas on how best to explore with relevance to your personal interests.
