Located in the heart of Gisborne's shopping precinct, the Emerald Hotel features 50 spacious rooms, free wifi, a swimming pool, undercover carparking and a fitness centre (currently being renovated). All rooms are air-conditioned, have tea/coffee making facilities, hair-dryers, ironing facilities and some have microwaves. Many rooms also feature private balconies. The two-bedroom apartment on the fourth floor has a full kitchen, a washing machine, a smart TV and a balcony with sweeping views of the city's waterways. An accommodation-only hotel, the Emerald is in walking distance of at least 30 cafes and restaurants offering delicacies to tempt all tastes. And for those who don't want to leave their room, food delivery services are quick and efficient. Guests can enjoy easy access to the waterfront walkway that leads to Tairawhiti's new Kiwa Pools complex. Just across the bridge is Titirangi (Kaiti Hill). Hundred of locals walk the path to the summit daily. It is worth the effort to enjoy the spectacular views of the city and bay across to Young Nick's Head.
