The Windhover Lodging consists of 4 Suites which can be booked separately or together. Therefore it is perfect for friends and family traveling together. The Owner's Suite is the largest with a private courtyard, huge kitchen, dining room, living room and library - even an office. The Vineyard Suite: separate entrance, new full size kitchen, living room, 2 bedrooms with a bathroom each and an office. The Poolside Seaview Suite and Seaview Suite with kitchenette feature ensuite bathrooms, coffee and tea making facilities, fridge, microwave, portable induction cook top, and separate entrances. All Suites share exclusively the use of the swimming pool, sauna, spa pool, outdoor fire place and are air-conditioned. The views are expansive from the lawn and deck areas. There is ample space for all guests since Windhover Lodging is nestled in between vineyards - the views are gorgeous and the beach is only a few minute walk away. Guests can rent the BEACH BACH on a daily basis for their private use or small celebration. Being centrally located between Nelson City and the Abel Tasman National Park the lodging is ideally situated for exploring the regions tourists treasures.
Welcome to Windhover! We are both Italians living since some years already in New Zealand and decided to stay because of the natural beauty and kind people on these two islands. We fell especially in love with the Nelson-Tasman region because it is also called the Provence/Toscana on the Southern Hemisphere. The micro climate on Kina Peninsula is especially mild and we love the fresh smell of the sea in combination with olives and vines. We grow our own veggies, herbs and fruit on the property which we use for the dinners the guests may book in advance. Our free range chickens supply us with organic eggs and sometimes our fresh catch of the day is part of the dinner menu. We love welcoming guests and making them feel special in this beautiful spot. Tasman is the perfect place to stay and explore The Abel Tasman National Park, Mount Arthur, Kaihurangi N.P., Motueka sandspit, Golden Bay, Nelson, Rabbit Island and many more day trips. We haven't even talked about winery or bike tours. And if you are on a NZ tour - just stay and enjoy the tranquility, a picnic on the beach and swim. Give yourself a break! We offer spa packages as well as customized fitness programs, electric mountain bikes, a double kayak and SUPs. Come and relax, stay fit or celebrate a special occasion!
