Welcome to Frangipani Guesthouse just 100m from the stunning Ngunguru estuary and approximately 20 minutes drive from Whangarei. Stay in our private downstairs apartment which includes 2 bedrooms with queen beds, a well equipped kitchenette, bathroom, dining area and lounge with fold out couch. You will have your own private access and outdoor area among lush tropical trees with safe free off street parking.
We have been part of the Tutukaka coast community for the past 15 years. We live upstairs with our two young children Jay and Fern and also our dog Gypsy. We feel lucky to call this place home and are thrilled to be able to host guests here to share our slice of paradise. We live upstairs and may or may not be home during your stay. The set up of the accommodation allows for privacy and enjoyment without feeling like we’re living in the same house. Your accommodation is the ground floor apartment to which you have private access, you will be provided with a lock box code to enter at your convenience. If we are at the property we are more then happy to assist and share our local knowledge and will always be contactable by phone. We are a family of four with two young children so there is occasional family noise. We look forward to being a welcoming home away from home, see you soon.
Ngunguru is a safe and quiet sleepy seaside village. It is an easy flat 2 minute stroll to the beautiful sheltered estuary. Walk down the road for great coffee and culinary delights at Salt Air Cafe. Drive 5 minutes over the hill to Tutukaka Marina which is the gateway to the world famous Poor Knights Marine Reserve. Here there is something for everyone- be it a family holiday, girls weekend, a fishing or diving trip or a romantic getaway.
