The Chalet has stunning sea views from the deck & is just a 15-20 min walk down to the Abel Tasman Park entrance ( 3 min drive). It's in a gorgeous elevated location, with amazing views all around & a huge variety of activities in the area including walking, kayaking, fishing, paddle boarding, cafes, crafts & markets. The Chalet is simple but chic with some of the best views in Marahau and has just been freshly painted throughout. It's a lovely walk down the road to the Abel Tasman Park entrance, beaches, water taxis, kayak operators, paddle boards, local store, cafes etc. The covered deck has elevated views over the ocean, Fisherman Island, Marahau River and Abel Tasman National Park. Marahau Retreat sits on 15 acres of land, much of it regenerating bush. It's a peaceful setting…abundant in nature, close to rivers and the sea with an amazing choice of activities and stunning places to visit in the area. A gorgeous location for those wanting retreat space and or a base for outings. Many of our visitors wish they had booked for longer! Just before the Chalet is our brand new Retreat Space cabin. It is for Anna's private use or with clients. You don't see it from the Chalet.

We are a Kiwi and French couple with children in their twenties who visit from time to time. Living on the property with us are 2 adorable pug dogs. Sylvain runs a food export business and is also a keen beekeeper and potter, Anna runs Soul/Meditation retreats on our property and is a painter and writer. We both love animals, nature environments and travel. Hosts Anna and Sylvain live on the property and can help with information, advice and activity reservations. English and French are spoken.
