Embark on an adventure to the Rawhiti Cave Track, just a 16-minute drive away, or immerse yourself in the internationally renowned bird sanctuary, the Farewell Spit Bird Sanctuary – a 50 minute drive away. Takaka is the main town within the Golden Bay area, with a strong community of friendly and arty locals. Start the day off with a quality coffee and a spot of shopping before heading to one of the many nearby attractions such as the Waikoropupu Springs, Kahurangi National Park or the Golden Bay Art Trail.
