Company information

We moved to Martinborough from the UK in 2004 and have been developing the holiday park since 2005. Luckily Frank has excellent building skills and Lisa is very handy with a paintbrush. We both worked in a large multinational in London and have enjoyed the move to owning our own business. We have rescued two dogs - Woody and Rosie and have been adopted by a friendly ginger cat called Moe. The park takes up much of our time but Lisa is an avid reader and Frank likes to fish when time allows.

Property information

In 2004 we traveled New Zealand looking for a place to settle. We chose Martinborough Wine Village and set about redeveloping an old council campground. Our TOP 10 Holiday Park has a Qualmark 4+ rating and is an easy walk or bike ride to the wineries of Martinborough. The park is just 800 metres from the Town Square with it's cafe's restaurants and shops. Our grounds are planted with native grasses and shrubs and a significant number of trees for shade in summer. There are vineyards on two sides and a large recreational park just over the fence, which includes a 33 metre pool, open on summer afternoons.

Neighbourhood information

Martinborough is renowned for its award-winning pinot noir but also produces a number of other varieties including some exceptional chardonnay, sauvignon blanc and riesling. There are also a number of olive groves in the area. There is a fantastic range of restaurants in town as well as a wine bar and boutique brewery. It is a 30 minute drive to the coast at Lake Ferry and an hour to the lighthouse at Cape Palliser. There are some great walks, bike rides and outdoor activities available.
