Mātai House is a fully self contained, two bedroom new build adjacent to our family home. Close to Gisborne hospital and airport and located in a quiet neighbourhood just 3 kms to the town centre. An easy flat walk to the botanical gardens, Ballance Street village, the museum and river. Great comfortable home with full kitchen, laundry facilities and a walk in shower. We hope you'll come and enjoy a home away from home as you travel and explore Tairawhiti and the beautiful East Coast region.
Having worked in the tourism industry for more than 20 years, we have stayed in many locations around the world. We know how important it is to have you 'feel at home' when you travel, to be able to arrive and relax and have everything you need available stress free. We have strived to make Mātai House be just that, a home from home, where you can come and go on adventures but equally stay and relax indoors or in the garden and have quality downtime. We welcome your feedback to help us continually add and improve the stay for our guests.
