Our property is in a unique position situated on 6 acres on one of the highest points on Waiheke Island. With panoramic sea and rural views over neighbouring farmland the 2 apartments have been designed to catch the all day sun. The grounds have been heavily planted with native & exotic plants which give privacy & attract the birdlife. As we are in a semi-rural area we advise our guests to hire a rental car or bring their own vehicle on the Car Ferry as we are not on a bus route or close to any shops. The local Supermarket is an 8 minute drive from the property.
I am a mixed media artist & contemporary dollmaker and I have an onsite Art Gallery where I sell my own work as well aswork by other local & New Zealand artists. I also sell Vintage Kimonos from Japan & we welcome our guests to come & visit while they are on holiday.
We are only a 5 minute drive to fabulous Onetangi Beach which has 3 cafes...Farleys & Kia Maha plus 372 Restaurant There are several vineyards & restaurants nearby and a golf course. The EcoZip and fishing trips are also available to book. We overlook the Forest & Bird reserve which has lots of walking tracks and there are large numbers of native birds in our garden and flying overhead. The island is a haven for many artists and there is a local Art Map and several Galleries and art studios to visit. The local airport also takes tourist flights over the island. Beyond the property at the eastern end of the island are 3 Vineyards...Poderi Crisci, Passage Rock and Man O' War which all serve food.
