Pataua North By The Beach is the quintessential Kiwi holiday home, boasting breathtaking views of Pataua Mountain & the iconic walking bridge to the North side. It is positioned metres away from the idyllic estuary which has calm & safe waters for the youngsters to play in & there’s a ski lane further up the bay. And to top it all off, you’re just a leisurely stroll from the brilliant white sands of Pataua North surf beach. The Northland east coast beach is unpopulated in the winter months - you might even have the place to yourself. Then in summer, this coastal paradise comes alive with camp site guests or families visiting those lucky enough to live here year round. During the warmer months, there is a convenience store located at Treasure Island in Pataua South & a seasonal cafe called Tahi on Pataua North Road. This semi-modern home was built in 1990 & is equipped with a full kitchen, open plan lounge & dining with a fireplace and flat-screen TV. You’ll love the spacious all-weather entertainment deck, featuring plenty of seating for guests. In addition, there’s a small, private deck behind the home. The property is not fenced, however there is a large lawn area.

You are truly spoilt for choice when it comes to summer activities, from swimming, snorkling or diving to hiking or relaxing with a good book at a shady picnic spot. Don’t forget to bring your surfboards, bikes, your yoga mat or even your boat! Launch your vessel from the new boat ramp just merely metres down the road - many great fishing spots await you! Kayaks are also available to use on request. The Whangarei Town Basin has a number of lovely cafes, restaurants and the Claphams clock museum is worth a visit. Also the Hudertwasser Centre is the largest Hundertwasser museum exhibition outside of Vienna with original artworks and architectural models. Whangārei offers heaps of super fun activities for kids. Choose from horse trekking, kayaking, stand up paddle-boarding, learning to surf, paintball games, monster scooters, mountain biking and a waterpark with an inflatable obstacle course. You can even book a cruise to the Poor Knights Islands which will leave your family with memories to last a lifetime!
