The cottage is situated in a hidden valley on 30 acres with numerous tracks you can freely access and explore, an easy 120 mtr stroll to access the Waiwera river , feel free to use the kayaks or 2 stand up paddle boards,great swimming at high and incoming tides, it is very secluded and private and an amazing place to relax and recharge, a large deck to relax on , a big trampoline to bounce or just lie on soaking up the tranquility.The cottage consists of one good size room with a double bed, there is a possibility for another person to sleep on a mattress on the floor or pitch a tent anywhere you like for kids or extra visitors, there is an outside kitchen, fridge, microwave, electric hot plate, small weber BBQ, , cuttlery, plates ,bowls etc . The outside bathroom contains a shower and sink , the toilet is a chemical unit much like on a boat which is changed out on every stay.
We have lived on our property since 1997, we look forward to sharing it with you, Jonathan is a local kiwi electrician and Megan is American teacher/artist who followed Jonathan home in 1993, we have 3 daughters , 2 dogs and 3 cats .We can offer a few extra activities depending on what adventures interest you , just ask .
We are very close to the Puhoi village which has the famous Puhoi pub, an easy drive, walk or bicycle down the hill, Wenderholm regional park is a 3 minute drive, Waiwera village and beach is 5 mins away, we are very handy to the main state highway 1 and approx 1 hour from Auckland international airport at traffic free times.Orewa the restaurant capitol of the Hibiscus coast is an 8 minute drive to the South and we are close to numerous beautiful beaches and half an hour to Matakana to the NE.
