Location was rural but close to the city centre, host was accomodating when we needed something

Clean, quiet and well presented. Best of both worlds being in a semi rural setting and a short drive of less than 5 minutes to the city centre

Nice, roomy apartment. Location is quiet and yet 5 min drive to town centre. Very good beds and exceptional shower. Heat pump works well, both heating and cooling.

Welcome, Haere mai, Willkommen, We would like to welcome people of all walks of life to stay in the homely guest wing of our family home. Having traveled extensively, we look forward to meeting guests from all walks of life. I have a basic understanding of German from my time living in Germany and Austria many years ago. I now teach English at a local secondary school and my partner is an engineer at one of the local freezing works. We are both passionate readers and avid sports fans, whether playing or spectating. Between us, we follow a diverse range of sports, from all codes of football to tennis and darts to motorsport. Chances are, if you turn on our TV, there’ll be a game on! And when the TV is off, music fills our home, reflecting our eclectic taste. Our weekends are often spent at sports events, music festivals, or concerts, but when we’re home, you'll find us enjoying a tune while working in our garden or around the house.
Our home and its apartment is nestled along a sleepy street that offers the best of both town and country living. The apartment occupies the guest wing at the front of our home and is set within a small cluster of houses. We are directly opposite two working farms so you’ll wake up to the soothing sounds of birdsong and farm animals. Despite the peaceful, countryside feel, the city is just a leisurely 25-minute walk away or a quick, affordable taxi ride. The small deck out front overlooks a small garden to the farms across the road, providing a tranquil spot to enjoy your morning coffee.
We believe in a "pay-it-forward" philosophy in an effort to make our place feel more like home by keeping non-perishable food items left behind for use by future guests. You'll always find some bread in the freezer and spreads to accompany it. Any cereals, sauces, condiments, and spreads left behind are carefully dated and kept until their recommended shelf life expires. Furthermore, for fellow book lovers, our swap-a-book shelf ensures you'll never be left without something great to read on the road. Feel free to take a book that catches your interest, and if you have one to leave behind, even better! Our only request? Please respect the pay-it-forward system, ensuring that future guests can enjoy the same thoughtful touches that make a place feel like home. We look forward to welcoming you!
