The accommodation fitted out needs perfectly for a group of 4. Easy location to drive to Chasm and the shower was amazing, as we were all very dusty, so having the lovely hot and good pressure was a very welcome treat on return. Walked and biked...

Good location and comfy, warm cottage, sandwiched between two boutique wineries and walking distance to heaps more. Secure and well fenced property for my dog to also enjoy. I would definitely come back.

The house was very well set up with many welcoming features. It was a pleasure to stay there.Everything is very close. The property is bucolic in its setting. Beds were firm which suited me but not so much my partner.

Lovely turn of the century cottage. Great outdoor areas and nice indoor outdoor flow. Well set up and very handy to some top vineyards. Was dog friendly, so our elderly beagle got to have a holiday too.

Villa In The Vines is a totally self contained private property which you have to yourselves, with heaps of space, inside and out. It features a spacious fully equipped kitchen, 3 bedrooms, modern bathroom with claw-foot bath, separate shower, cosy lounge with open-fireplace, and family room with log-fire, large backyard, and two courtyards with a BBQ. You can use our bikes to tour around the famous Martinborough wine trail, which is right on our backdoor, while we also have free wifi, satellite TV and MySky. Generous setup breakfast continental breakfast provisions and a complimentary bottle of Wairarapa pinot noir is included in all bookings.
Am a broadcaster who's travelled a lot with work and play: lived in UK and Australia before settling back in New Zealand. Though we actually live & work in Wellington, we've found our slice of Kiwi paradise in Wairarapa. Great food, wine and locals, and amazing landscapes in the region. Awesome place to chill. Though you don't get to see us, we have a local manager to attend to your needs, and you can ring me anytime for local tips & info. Best places I've travelled to .. mmm .. a big call. Probably NYC, Istanbul, Cuernavaca (just out of Mexico City) .. and anywhere in Italy. Hope you enjoy your stay at our heritage cottage, that we've had so much fun maintaining for its future.
Martinborough in South Wairarapa is famous for world-class pinot noir vineyards which surround its village centre of boutique shops, cafes and restaurants. Stroll around the Princess Street vineyards, starting with Muirlea Rise next door .. across the road to multi-award winning Martinborough Vineyard .. then round the corner into Margrain Vineyard, down to Schubert Wines, Ata Rangi, ending up at Tirohana Estate for lunch or dinner. Or you can bike around the vines on the famous Martinborough Wine Trail - which features over thirty largely family-owned wineries, and take in lunch along the way. Further afield, the Cape Palliser day trip is our out-and-out favourite - in all weather moods too. Rain, hail or shine! The stunning landscapes constantly change with all the light variations coming in off the sea. The Cape is 72 k’s from Martinborough (about 1 hr 15 mins). The Cape Palliser lighthouse was built in 1897 and the view is worth the hike up 258 steps. Just before you reach the Cape Palliser lighthouse, you will spot one of New Zealand’s largest fur seal colonies. Another compulsory stop on Cape Palliser is the Putangirua Pinnacles, formed by 120,000 years of erosion.
