We are a family of five who love the outdoors, surfing, great conversations, and creating spaces that bring people together. Whangamata has been one of our favorite places—whether it’s catching waves, exploring the Coromandel coastline, or simply unwinding with family and friends, this little slice of paradise never gets old, and we have made countless memories here.
This became our family bach in March 2025.
Hosting allows us to share our love for meaningful experiences. Whether it's a solo retreat, a family getaway, or a workcation, we want our guests to feel at ease and feel like they’ve found the perfect spot to recharge and make lasting memories.
We fell in love with this home because of its unbeatable location—just steps from the beach and adjacent to a reserve where you can set up a game of cricket or relax after a surf session or kick around a soccer ball. With easy access to the surf, beach, town, marina, boat ramp, estuary, wharf and fishing club, it’s perfect for anyone who loves the outdoors, whether you’re into surfing, sailing, or simply soaking in the coastal vibes.
We want your stay to be as seamless and enjoyable as possible. You’ll have full privacy, with self-check-in for ease, but we’re always happy to share recommendations to help you make the most of your time in Whangamata. Whether you’re here to explore, unwind, or do a bit of both, we hope you love this special spot as much as we do.
Nestled along the stunning Coromandel Peninsula, Whangamata is a paradise for beach lovers, surfers, and outdoor enthusiasts alike. Known for its golden sands, world-class surf breaks, and laid-back coastal charm, this vibrant seaside town offers the perfect mix of relaxation and adventure.
Spend your days catching waves at the iconic Whangamata Bar, exploring the tranquil estuary by kayak or paddleboard, or setting off on a scenic hike through the lush trails of the nearby Wentworth Valley. When it’s time to unwind, take a stroll through town and enjoy boutique shops, cozy cafés, and fresh seafood at local restaurants.
Or, launch your boat from the nearby marina and boat ramp for a day of fishing or exploring the coastline. The local fishing club by the wharf is a great spot to swap stories and enjoy fresh seafood after a day on the water, while the kids jump off the wharf.
With countless beaches and charming coastal towns just a short drive away, Whangamata is the ideal gateway to the Coromandel Peninsula.
