This Camp is ideal for the people who are looking for relaxation and to enjoy some Desert adventure. In-room guests have access to the open-air Cinema, inspired by a Bedouin settlement – cinema seating is a comfy Bedouin-style lounge, once the sun sets down and we have soft lighting turned on, the screen is placed under the moonlight and the stunning Wahiba Sands dune as the backdrop.

Choose from thrilling 4WD experiences, including dune bashing, sunset and sunrise drives, and desert crossing with a Bedouin guide. Alternatively, explore the dunes on camelback, with options ranging from 10-minute rides to full-day excursions with lunch and refreshments. For the more adventurous, we offer quad bike rides and hot-air balloon experiences, providing breathtaking views of the desert landscape.

The fine print

Need-to-know information for guests at this property

SAMA Al Wasil Desert Camp is only reachable by 4x4. If you do not have a 4x4 vehicle, the camp can book a transfer with the local Bedouin. Note the rates RO 32/per car up to 4 guests for two-way transfer are the rates of the Bedouin charged by the camp. Transfer can be arranged as per your time of arrival (arrival time needs to be informed before a minimum of 2 hours of arrival ) at the Al Maha Petrol station, Al Wasil Village.

In our continuous efforts to provide comfortable stay and enhance our facilities, we will be undergoing a room, restaurant and reception refurbishment program during the month of Sep 2023. The renovation will take place from 9 am to 6 pm daily and our guest may experience limited disruption of some noise. Our sincere thanks in advance for your patience and support during this time.

Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.
