In this region the green laurel forest (global reserves) and the majestic mountains of Pico do Areeiro and Pico Ruívo dominates the landscape. Heart of the famous Levada among them stands out Levada of Caldeirão Verde and Caldeirão do Inferno, Ribeiro Bonito, Ribeiro Frio (Balcões and Portela), as well as Rocha do Navio with its crystal clear waters and breathtaking cliffs. Also a visit to Madeira Theme Park is a must and as well the hallmark of this island ... the typical houses of Santana .
