9Arches is a family home in the middle of the countryside belonging to the same family for seven generations. The house is in a small village at the end of a long valley and surrounded by wooded hills. It is ideally suited for guests who just want to work, rest and play by the pool or for those who choose to take the house as a pivot for visiting surrounding tourist attractions which abound nearby - roman ruins, medieval castles, Napoleonic battle sites, champagne tasting farms, trout fishing by the Alva River, kayaking down the Mondego River or taking the children for a safe dip at the Ceira River.

Neighbourhood information

Venda Nova has kept the features of a typical Portuguese village where time seems to have stopped and has always been considered an ideal place to live and rest. It has been inhabited since neolithic times as part and parcel of a most sought after fertile valley surrounded by strategically high viewpoints from all sides.
