A cosy house with a magnificent view of the ocean and the most famous landmark in Azores - Ilhéu de Vila. Strategically located in Vila Franca do Campo, in the central part of the São Miguel island, which makes it an excellent starting point for trips to every corner of the island; it is well connected by expressway with the capital of the island and with the airport (about 20 minutes by car). The unique microclimate makes the town extremely sunny.

Neighbourhood information

Situated on the warm, southern shoreline of São Miguel island, Vila Franca do Campo has plenty enchanting points of interest: the tiny offshore island, reachable by boat or kayak, with a natural circle-shaped seawater swimming pool, perfect for snorkeling or scuba-diving; the chapel of Nossa Senhora da Paz offering amazing views along the island's entire south coast, numerous 15th-18th-century churches and museums of pottery. In Vila Franca a recipe for famous Azorean treats - Queijadas de Vila - were created centuries ago. Vila Franca is a perfect city for walking down its charming narrow streets. However, you will definitely need a car to explore further parts of the island. You can park it on the oceanfront promenade, below the house.
