Welcome to enjoy "primitive luxury" on a little romantic Swedish homestead, new built in an old style in the countryside. You live in the old-time double cottage and all around you there are timber buildings from different time epochs and a recently build Stave Church. Oklagård is located 10 km outside of Ockelbo and has been built up since 1977 by one man, the house lord -and with help from his wife of course! :) Oklagård is getting more attention from a touristic point of view, not least for the medieval chapel, guiding tours and cultural events. Feel very welcomed to a place where history meets "Saga" In the double cottage there is a little dubble room, (with space for a possible cot which can be borrowed) and a bigger room with a singel bed and a sofa bed. Oklagård is open for guiding tours and cultural events during summertime. It is also possible to look around at the homestead -just talk to the host.

Jag som driver detta småskaliga B&B är född och uppvuxen på gården som mina föräldrar gradvis har byggt upp sedan 1977 och de bor också i mangårdsbyggnaden. Min fars passion för svensk historia och timmerbyggarkonst går knappast ta miste om här och jag delar delvis hans intresse med att bevara genuina detaljer från förr som är både av kvalité och gjorda för hand. Även den konstnärliga ådran delar jag med honom, då vi båda är spelmän och för den traditionen med folkmusik vidare. Jag vill att gäster ska kunna njuta den lugna och genuina atmosfären på gården och kunna slappna av och gärna gå runt och titta på byggnaderna. Guidningsturer är möjlig att boka också.
