Our property was until 1955 the school of the small village Hästveda. Thereafter it was held in private hands until 2014 when we acquired this historic building and changed it into a hotel. Our suite is a former teacher's residence and our breakfast room used to be a class-room for pupils aged 6 to 10. From the hotel and the garden you can see the historic church of Hästveda, built in the 12th century with a rare frescos from the 16th century. In our surroundings various hiking trails as well as 3 picturesque lakes can be found.
We are passionate travelers and enjoy discovering new places and staying in small authentic hotels ourselves. We have collected experience and ideas about the perfect little hotel across the world and decided to open place like that in the heart of beautiful Swedish nature on the border of Skåne and Småland.
The hotel lies in the old centre of Hästveda in a very calm and quite location. Hästveda is surrounded by lakes and forests and the area is ideal for hiking and cycling trips, for family holidays as well as weekend getaways. Some of the nicest sandy beaches at the Baltic Sea are less than 50 minutes away and historic cities such as Lund or Helsingborg can be reached within 1,5 hour.
