Company information

We are a reindeer-herding sami family that runs the campsite. We have a long history of reindeer-herding and a deep knowledge about the sami life and culture in northern scandinavia. Our long-term goal with the campsite is to include our reindeer, and reindeer-herding skills into the camping, giving guests the possibilities to learn from us, both about life in the north, but also about sami life, culture, history and reindeer-herding.

Property information

Skabram is located in the heart of Swedish Lapland and close to the versatile Jokkmokk. Here you can enjoy the beautiful lakes and extensive forests. A true paradise for nature lovers and peace seekers. Do you want to hike, swim, fish, row or relax in the sauna? It's all possible at Skabram Camping & Stugby. Also meet our animals on the farm. Here you will find Swedish lapgoats, sheeps, chickens, rabbits and alpacas! Skabram Camping & Stugby is open all year round, allowing you to enjoy Swedish nature in every season. At Skabram Camping & Stugby we rent out a small number of stuga’s. Stuga’s are typical Swedish wooden cabins. The stuga’s are simply furnished, but fully equipped. The stuga's are well insulated and have their own shower, toilet, kitchenette and TV. These stuga’s are suitable for 2, 4 or 5 persons. All the beds in the stuga’s have single duvets and pillows. You have to bring your own bedsheets and towels. Of course, you can also rent bedsheets and towels at the reception. Warm welcome to our campsite! Jon-Mikko & Sara!

Neighbourhood information

The campsite is located just outside Jokkmokk, so there is plenty of nature just around the corner. Many different hiking trails are easily available. There is a beautiful lake 50 m from the camping, where guests can fish, swim, take a sauna or go paddling with canoes or rowing boats. In the town there are several nice attractions such as the sami museum Ájtte, a botanic garden, several sami handicraft shops etc. Futher away from town (30-150km) are several breathtaking natural parks, such as Sarek, Padjelanta, Stora Sjöfallet and Muddus. All of them are included in the Laponia world heritage. In wintertime it's possible to do alot of different winter activities in Jokkmokk, such as snowmobile safaries, reindeer-feeding, dogsledding etc.
